(Part 1) WWE Diva Paige talks ‘Monday Night Raw’ rant, ‘Total Divas’ proposal

WWE’s Paige experienced some nerve-racking moments recently -- personally and professionally -- which created quite the buzz.

Mission accomplished.

During WWE’s “Total Divas” on E!, the beautiful young lady dealt with a marriage proposal.

During WWE’s “Monday Night Raw” on the USA Network, the talented sports entertainer delivered her divas rant, a divas state-of-the-union.

“I’ve been wanting to do a heel turn for a while, and they definitely gave me the reigns to say whatever I wanted,” Paige said. “It kind of felt really good, and the crowd was into it.”

As they do when a WWE superstar or diva combats the establishment, the WWE Boo-niverse enjoyed her wordings. They praised her for speaking her mind as she berated, belittled, bad-mouthed her co-workers and the company.

“There was a lot of positive feedback afterward.” she said, “which then I was like, ‘Oh, this was supposed to be a negative spot.’[chuckles]”

Charlotte winning the WWE Divas title at WWE Night of Champions the previous night and celebrating joyfully and tearfully with her father, Ric, ignited the wrath of Paige. She dissed the Divas Revolution and mocked the roster including her wrestling stablemates; thus breaking away from PCB (Paige, Charlotte, Becky Lynch).

That parting can develop into some interesting matchups between her and Becky Lynch and of course her and Charlotte.

“I think that would be absolutely awesome,” she said. “We’re both second generational wrestlers. So I’m excited.”

Paige, 23, hails from a wrestling family in England with her mom, Saraya Knight, nationally and internationally renowned. Paige actually began wrestling at age 13. Charlotte, 29, also boasts a wrestling lineage with her father, Ric, a two-time WWE Hall of Famer. A very athletic woman, Charlotte made her wrestling debut in 2013 with WWE NXT.

Proving their worth, each made their mark in the company expeditiously, rising to the top of the mountain in NXT and WWE.

Paige noted: “For as long as [Charlotte’s] been doing it, she’s absolutely awesome.”

Paige is awesome, too. Though, she felt a little under the weather on Tuesday but blamed it on her Raw tirade the night before.

The stellar wrestler/sports entertainer/spokeswoman describes herself as a ‘Gypsy Soul.’

She said: “My family are actually gypsies...My heart is wild...I’m a wild chick, and I’m also a gypsy...Nothing too intricate in the description, but that’s it.”

On a recent episode of WWE “Total Divas” on E!, A Day To Remember guitarist Kevin Skaff proposed to Paige, and she said, “Yes.”

“I had an inkling it was coming,” an engaged Paige said. “I wasn’t shocked; I was just very, very nervous [chuckles]. I was sweating very hard.”

Is a ‘Gypsy Soul’ ready for marriage?

“Marriage is a very big deal to me,” she said, “and that’s something I don’t like to rush into. We’ll see where it goes [chuckles].”

Paige reiterated as she did on “Total Divas” that an engagement could last “years and years and years.”

Paige is a fan of music -- not because she has to.

“I love a ton of bands, and I’ll listen to anything,” Paige said. “I’ll even listen to country music, but my favorite band is actually Kevin’s [rock] band. I’m being biased, but it’s always been a favorite band of mine, A Day To Remember. I love Bring Me The Horizon, Stick To Your Guns, The Ghost Inside. I like that kind of stuff. I also like funky stuff like Mumford & Sons. I love 80s rock. So I love Skid Row. There’s a mixture of stuff I love.”

Skid Row -- Toms River, New Jersey’s own -- now you’re talking.

One of Paige’s favs, Bring Me The Horizon, provides the official theme music for NXT TakeOver: Respect on Wednesday, Oct. 7 live on WWE Network from Full Sail Live at Full Sail University in Winter Park, near Orlando.

Bring Me The Horizon is a British rock band from Sheffield. “Happy Song” and “Throne” are the official tunes for that spectacular show headlined by a 30-minute Iron Woman match between NXT women’s champ Bayley and former champ The Boss Sasha Banks.
