NXT Week in South Florida: Meet WWE NXT champ Finn Balor, Bayley at St. Lucie Mets game
When Class A minor league teams the St. Lucie Mets and Brevard County Manatees are battling on the field in Florida State League action, a pair of WWE NXT wrestling superstars will be in the stands to meet fans.
New NXT champion Finn Balor and NXT diva Bayley will throw out the first pitch, sign autographs, pose for photos and give away prizes on Wednesday, July 22 at Tradition Field in Port St. Lucie.
Balor and Bayley are on the Treasure Coast promoting the WWE NXT event at the Havert L. Fenn Center on Thursday, July 23 in Fort Pierce.
First pitch between the Mets and Manatees is 6:30 p.m.
The Ireland native Balor is the newly crowned NXT champion. He defeated Kevin Owens for the title at The Beast in the East special in Tokyo, Japan on July 4 on WWE Network.
Bayley, hailing for San Jose, Calif., joined NXT in 2013. She likes to hug, and her signature move is the Bayley-to-Belly Suplex. Balor and Bayley are fan favorites.
WWE NXT is a professional wrestling development branch of the WWE based in Orlando. Several NXT wrestlers have been promoted to WWE, including Adrian Neville who visited the Mets at Tradition Field last year.
Wednesday (July 22) is also All You Can Eat and a Seat at the Mets’ game. For $15 fans get a ticket to the game and access to all-you-can-eat hamburgers, hot dogs, sausages, macaroni salad, chips, $2 soda and water and $2 beer.
