Breaking News: Tasha Steelz bringing more Flava to Impact Wrestling, signs to remain a Knockout

What an impact Tasha Steelz has made in a short period of time in the pro wrestling business.

That’s a credit to her skill set, her training, her passion, her acumen and her hustle.

Debuting on the indies in 2016, Steelz really escalated her career after signing with Impact Wrestling in May 2020.

She won the Knockouts tag team titles twice (with Kiera Hogan) and the main prize once — the Impact Wrestling Knockouts title by defeating the Hall of Fame-worthy Mickie James. That’s a big feather in her cap.

Steelz can add more feathers to her hat collection while bringing more of her ‘Flava’ to the company and wrestling audience as she recently re-signed with Impact Wrestling. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

She is not only a top Knockout (main event caliber) but one of the top wrestlers in the world. PWI ranked her No. 11 of the top 150 female wrestlers in the PWI Women’s 150 in 2022. Prior to Impact, she wrestled for the NWA and Ring of Honor.

A Jersey girl and history-maker, Steelz is proud of her career choice as well as her Puerto Rican roots. Returning to Puerto Rico to wrestle for Savio Vega’s company is one special night to remember. She discusses that, signing again with Impact Wrestling and more in our video interview.

Trained by Damian Adams, who also trained “The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo (Impact Wrestling Knockout) and Karen Q (WWE NXT Wendy Choo), Steelz would love to wrestle Purrazzo — a former two-time Knockouts champ and one-time Knockouts tag champ — for company and training bragging rights.

Maybe that will occur during Impact Wrestling’s Winter Warfare on Dec. 9 and 10 from the Charles F. Dodge City Center in Pembroke Pines, near Fort Lauderdale.

The company’s television trucks will capture all of the in-ring action for upcoming episodes of IMPACT’s flagship weekly TV show, #IMPACTonAXSTV (Thursday, 8 p.m. on AXS TV in America, Fight Network in Canada and Impact Insiders on YouTube.)
