MMA legend Khabib Nurmagomedov is the founder and promoter of Eagle FC, an MMA company based in Miami.

One year after he purchased Gorilla Fighting Championships, which he renamed Eagle FC, Khabib and his team moved the promotion from Russia to the United States, settling in South Florida, a hot spot for MMA training.

Before he and his team decided to relocate the promotion to South Florida, in particular Miami, in January 2022, Eagle FC held events in Russia, displaying some of the best up-n-coming talents.

A retired undefeated professional MMA fighter at 29-0, Khabib is a Russian-born talent who was the longest-reigning UFC Lightweight Champion.

Eagle FC made its official U.S. debut on American soil on January 28, 2022 at Miami’s FLXcast Arena, a state-of-the-art venue and new home of Eagle FC in the United States. This first U.S. show in Miami was very well received. A success, it drew 500,000 viewers and was ranked No.44 around the world.

Eagle FC has received tremendous support from the City of Miami, especially Mayor Francis Suarez, Commissioner Ken Russel and community leader and former Miami Heat player Alonso Mourning.

Attorney Ed Patricoff is negotiating Eagle FC’s agreements with Miami and advising them on expansion and growth potential for the Eagle FC operations in Miami. He says “Our goal is to make Miami not just the Capital of Capital but the Capital of Content.”

Miami has always been an attractive destination for the international community, which is appealing to the MMA community. Recently, it has also become one of the country’s hottest markets in terms of tech, real estate and hospitality.

Eagle FC officials are working with media company FLX on the Miami production facility called FLXcast Arena at the new state-of-the-art EUE/Screen Gems Studios, which is part of the city’s revitalization/redevelopment project near Downtown Miami in Overtown.

The Eagle FC events in America are conducted from that venue and stream live for free on the FLXcast app. They are already live streaming from this facility and have plans to continue expanding and building more facilities on-site.In conjunction with the city, the studio project is creating job and career opportunities for those in the area & nearby with education and training in several TV and streaming production skills.

Through Khabib’s new version of the promotion, the 33-year-old businessman aims to continue making a name for his label in the sport and aims to increase his impact on the sport, locally, nationally and internationally.

His fight cards are available for free on the FLXcast app.

The next Eagle FC event is Friday, July 29 at the FLXcast Arena. People can sign up to watch the fights for free by visiting EagleFC.com.
