Pro wrestlers team with Michael Kingston for cool comic book ‘Headlocked: Tales from the Road’

Michael Kingston, creator of the Headlocked comic series, has once again collaborated with some of his pro wrestling friends to produce “Headlocked: Tales From The Road Volume 2.”

Cover art is designed by Jerry “The King” Lawler (Norman Rockwell); Michel Mulipola (Grand Budapest Hotel); and Bryan Silverbax (Danhausen Creepshow).

Pro wrestlers contributing stories are AJ Styles, Cryme Time, Danny Limelight, Effy, Frankie Kazarian, Jeff Cobb, John Morrison, Matt Cardona & Brian Myers, Pentagon, Rob Van Dam, Thunder Rosa and Danhausen.

Kingston overseas the projects, working with the pro wrestlers on their comic book style wordings and story length. Pro wrestling and comic books go hand-in-hand with the story lines and larger-than-life personas — especially superheroes and villains — portrayed on-screen or in animated book form.

Here is my video interview with Michael Kingston, a comic book creator and biochemist.

Kingston began this passion project in 2008, and it is well received by the comic book community, fans and pro wrestlers, some who are comic book fans as well. Pro wrestlers are contacting him to be part of the process.
