WWE Champ Drew McIntyre will abide by any rule from Dolph Ziggler, even an extreme one

At one time these WWE Raw tag team champions, tag team partners, stood side-by-side.

Now they are facing each other eye-to-eye in an epic 1-on-1 battle.

WWE champ Drew McIntyre defends the title against former tag team partner Dolph Ziggler during The Horror Show at Extreme Rules on Sunday, July 19 on WWE Network from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

Because of COVID-19, the venue switched from the SAP Center in San Jose, California to The PC where fans are not permitted.

McIntyre is accustomed to the facility. He won the WWE title by beating Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman) in the main event of night 2 of WrestleMania 36 before no crowd in April at The PC.

McIntyre is featured on Raw on Mondays also from The PC on the USA Network, and there (as champion) he has defeated Miami resident Big Show, Angel Garza, Murphy, Seth Rollins, Miami local Andrade, King Corbin, Bobby Lashley, Miami’s own MVP and Heath Slater.

In an audio interview on Friday, July 10 with McIntyre, he discusses his upcoming match with Ziggler, Slater recently on Raw, Jinder Mahal, 3MB, MVP, Lashley, UFC fighters, golf, caddy stipulation, the movie Braveheart, John Morrison as William Wallace, Triple H as William Wallace and more.

McIntyre and Ziggler won the WWE Raw tag team titles in 2018.

McIntyre is a two-time WWE Raw tag team champ, a former NXT champ, a former WWE Intercontinental champ and a Royal Rumble winner (2020).

McIntyre, 35, is from Ayr, Scotland. He is a big fan of the movie Braveheart, answering the question (in the audio interview above) which WWE Superstar did a better job portraying William Wallace on WWE TV.

McIntyre currently resides with his wife, Kaitlyn, in golf-rich Tampa, and the sport may be in their future plans. They already know a good caddy.
