Meredith Vieira hopes for, wants more WWE superstars on Season 2 of 25 Words Or Less

Multitalented host Meredith Vieira participated at the National Association of Television Program Executives last month in Miami on behalf of the FOX-syndicated hit game show 25 Words Or Less, which received some WWE influence in its inaugural campaign.

WWE’s move to FOX in October for “Friday Night SmackDown” created a buzz for the network and its other programming.

“25 Words Or Less” took advantage.

Vieira is preparing to film Season 2 of the hot new game show in April, and she is very hopeful WWE superstars will be celebrity guests again.

Here is my video interview with her at NATPE.

During Season 1, WWE superstars made quite an impression on Vieira and the show.

WWE superstars Ali, Apollo Crews, Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, Natalya, Naomi and The New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods) competed with contestants, who were WWE fans.

Win or lose, even the ultracompetitive Kofi Kingston was a good sport and good emcee.

The WWE superstars appeared on six shows, and some took turns as show emcee, introducing the WWE superstars and Vieira at the onset. Vieira said each did an excellent job with the introductions, especially Apollo Crews.

“25 Words Or Less” relaunches production in April for Season 2 with a new set and many of the show’s favorite celebrity guests. Also, there will be six Facebook lives of the show tapings, so fans can interact online.

Season 2 broadcasts in September.

The show is currently cleared nationally in syndication in 96 percent of the country. In Miami, it airs on MYTV33.
