Looking back at WWE’s WrestleMania 36 Party on The Road to WrestleMania 2020 Tampa

Ringing in the new year means WrestleMania 2020 Tampa is getting closer, and we’ll start to see the shape forming for the 36th version of this sports entertainment spectacular.

The road to WrestleMania 2020 actually began with Tampa hosting WWE’s WrestleMania 36 ticket on-sale party in November at Thunder Alley, outside Amalie Arena, which will house several WWE shows during WrestleMania Week.

The free fun-filled event featured WWE Superstar appearances, live NXT matches, merchandise, games, food, drink and an exclusive opportunity for fans to purchase their WrestleMania 36 tickets on-site before they became available to the general public.

The weather cooperated nicely, and the atmosphere scenic which included a giant backdrop wall for video viewing of NXT ring entrances behind the ring. On the opposite side where NXT superstars walked to the ring stood the Amalie Arena.

Fans purchased WrestleMania 36 tickets throughout the three-hour extravaganza.

WrestleMania 36 is April 5, 2020, at Raymond James Stadium, home of the NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

That is the main event of WrestleMania Week, which is April 1-6 in Tampa for the first time.

Amalie Arena, home of the NHL Tampa Bay Lightning, will welcome WWE Hall of Fame (Thursday, April 2), WWE SmackDown on FOX (Friday, April 3), WWE NXT TakeOver (Saturday, April 4), and WWE Raw on USA Network (Monday, April 6).

WrestleMania Fan Axxess (Thursday-Monday, April 2-6) is at the Tampa Convention Center within walking distance of Amalie Arena.

Fans began lining up at 9 a.m. The festivities started at 5 p.m.

WWE Hall of Famers Ricky The Dragon Steamboat, Jimmy Mouth of the South Hart and Mark World’s Strongest Man Henry along with WWE Superstar Nia Jax participated in a media Q&A before the WWE WrestleMania 36 Ticket On-Sale, Party.

Santana Garrett and Kayden Carter against Taynara Conti and Deonna Purrazzo in an NXT tag team battle during the WWE WrestleMania 36 Ticket On-Sale Party.

Fans enjoyed that matchup and a few other NXT battles.

Free autographs and photos during a meet-and-greet with WWE Superstars Alicia Fox, Nia Jax and Ruby Riott, WWE legend Boogeyman, and WWE Hall of Famers Ricky The Dragon Steamboat, Jimmy Mouth of the South Hart, Mark World’s Strongest Man Henry during the WWE WrestleMania 36 Ticket On-Sale Party.
