Lots of history will be made when Major League Wrestling is in Miami on Dec. 13 and 14 at the Scottish Rite Temple.

The Miami debut of MLW is history-making in itself, but there’s more.

The legendary Konnan, a Miami native who has worn many hats in the pro wrestling business, steps into the ring for the first time in 10 years. That’s history, too.

Furthermore, in front of the hometown crowd, he challenges Low Ki for the MLW title on Dec. 14, and if he captures the title, history will be rewritten.

Both nights are FUSION TV tapings for beIN SPORTS. On Dec. 14, MLW will add to the historic evening with its first live broadcast special on beIN SPORTS.

Konnan, 54, talks about preparing for his first match in 10 years, an MLW title match against Low Ki (presented by Salina de la Renta). He also discusses wrestling in Miami, working with MLW tag champs Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix and more. Click below.

Konnan, who debuted in 1987, talks MLW, his Miami homecoming, the in-ring return, Low Ki, how to celebrate a victory in Miami, working with AAA, University of Miami football and more. Click below.

An icon in Mexico, Konnan has starred for AAA, CMLL, Impact Wrestling, Lucha Underground, MLW, WCW and more.

His three decades-plus in the sport have been prolific. The inaugural CMLL World Heavyweight Champion, Konnan was a crossover star in Mexico appearing regularly on television and in music videos. He was the Hulk Hogan of Mexico.

In the early 90s, Konnan co-founded AAA Lucha Libre where he would be a perennial main eventer defeating the likes of Jake the Snake Roberts to claim his hair, main eventing the AAA When Worlds Collide pay-per-view, shattering box office records in Mexico and California and becoming a staple in America as a member of the nWo and LAX.

A trailblazer, Konnan became a guiding light for emerging luchadores looking for worldwide stardom including Rey Mysterio, Pentagon Jr., Rey Fenix and countless others. Today, Konnan serves as the consigliore for the World Tag Team Champions Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix.

Away from the ring, Konnan has also enjoyed success as a popular podcaster on the MLW Radio Network.

Also, Konnan’s popular no-holds barred podcast, “Keeping it 100 with Konnan,” on The Jericho Network on Westwood One is co-hosted by Glenn Gilberti (Disco Inferno).
