Like Astros, Team Raw wins in seven at WWE Survivor Series Houston
Irony worked in favor of Team Raw at WWE Survivor Series.
Just like the Houston Astros edged the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-3 to win the World Series, Team Raw won brand bragging rights by edging Team SmackDown 4-3 on Sunday, Nov. 19 at Survivor Series in the home city of the new MLB world champs -- Houston.
With the series tied at three (just like the World Series), Team Raw entered the final match-up with Kurt Angle, Braun Strowman, Finn Bálor, Samoa Joe and Triple H battling Team SmackDown’s Shane McMahon, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, Shinsuke Nakamura and John Cena at the Toyota Center.
Triple H and Strowman were the survivors in the winner brand-take-all match with Strowman doing his best George Springer to earn MVP honors. The Monster eliminated three SmackDown superstars (Nakamura, Roode, Orton).
Shockingly, Triple H helped eliminate his own partner, Angle, before disposing of his brother-in-law (McMahon) to end the series clinching match.
The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Team Raw Women (Alicia Fox, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Asuka, and Nia Jax) and Brock Lesnar also won for Team Raw. Baron Corbin, Charlotte Flair and The Usos won for Team SmackDown.
Next year’s Survivor Series is in Los Angeles, home of the World Series runner-up Dodgers. Maybe that’s a good sign for Team SmackDown.
Monday Night Raw is Nov. 20 again at the Toyota Center in Houston, and that’s also the home for SmackDown Live on Tuesday, Nov. 21.
Will the Astros be presenting Team Raw a World Series type trophy for its celebration?

After the Astros won the World Series, WWE sent them (led by WWE fan OF Josh Reddick) a replica WWE world title belt for their parade/celebration.
