With all the surprise star power in a match main event worthy, Triple H pinned Sting during WWE WrestleMania 31 on Sunday, March 29 live on WWE Network and pay-per-view from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
A Kabuki musical troupe (sans Great Kabuki and Great Muta) performed live to intro Sting. Triple H dressed as a Terminator in his elaborate entrance with newest WWE Hall of Famer Arnold Schwarzenegger cutting a quick Terminator type video promo.
Surprise. The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg Jesse James and Bad Ass Billy Gunn) and X-Pac interfered to help Triple H.
Surprise. The nWo (Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash) then appeared to stop the New Age Outlaws and X-Pac. The legendary factions eventually took out each other.

Triple H, caught in the Scorpion Deathlock, eventually made it to the ropes, leading to a third surprise, HBK Shawn Michaels with the sweet chin music to Sting. Triple H then pedigree’d Sting, but Sting kicked out.
With D-Generation X and the nWo now surrounding the ring, Sting and Triple H worked a bat vs. sledgehammer angle where Sting split the sledgehammer, but Triple H used the top of it to deck Sting for the pin and Triple H victory.
Afterward with D-Generation X and the nWo in the ring, Triple H and Sting shook hands.
WrestleMania moment for former WCW referee Charles Robinson, who worked the Sting/Triple H match.
In a battle of dueling headbutts atop the ladder, Daniel Bryan finished just a little bit ahead and shoulders above Dolph Ziggler to capture the Intercontinetal title in an action-packed opening match.
Credit to Bad News Barrett, Dean Ambrose, Stardust, Luke Harper, R-Truth, Ziggler and Bryan for their all-out efforts. What a way to jumpstart WrestleMania 31.

The Viper Randy Orton pinned Seth Rollins with J&J Security.
Beat this. As Seth Rollins attempted the Curbstomp, Orton popped up and caught a high-flying Rollins in the RKO. Move of the night. You got to see it.
WrestleMania moment for J&J Security (Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury) when Randy Orton double DDT’d them from the ring apron to outside the ring on the floor.
With a beautiful backdrop on stage during a clear-blue sky afternoon outdoors at Levi’s Stadium, recording artist Aloe Blacc sang “America the Beautiful” to kick-off WrestleMania.
UFC women’s champ Ronda Rousey ringside at WrestleMania 31.
Ring announcers Eden and Lilian Garcia looked great.
Michael Cole, JBL and Jerry Lawler were outstanding, calling the action.
During the pre-show, Big Show won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Participants also included The Miz, Curtis Axel, Ryback, Fandango, Adam Rose, Zack Ryder, Jack Swagger, Titus O'Neil, Darren Young, Kane, Erick Rowan, Damien Mizdow, Sin Cara, Goldust, Heath Slater, Mark Henry, Konnor, Viktor and NXT’s Hideo Itami. In the end, Damien Mizdow eliminated Miz, and then Big Show eliminated Mizdow to win it.
Also pre-show, Tyson Kidd and Cesaro (with Natalya) retained the WWE tag team titles vs. The New Day (Big E and Kofi Kingston with Xavier Woods) vs. Los Matadores (Diego and Fernando with El Torito) vs. The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso with Naomi) in a fatal fourway. Cesaro pinned Big E.
The lovely and talented Renee Young, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton and Booker T worked commentary during the pre-show.
