Miami’s 2027 recruiting class hits 20 members after pledge from receiver Eli Woodard
The Miami Hurricanes’ Class of 2027 continues to get deeper and more talented.
The latest pledge to the class came Tuesday from four-star Temecula (California) Chaparral wide receiver Eli Woodard, making him the 20th overall pledge in the class and the second wide receiver along with five-star Nick Lennear out of Miami Carol City.
Woodard, ranked as the No. 24 wide receiver in the class and No. 164 nationally by the 247Sports composite ranking, chose Miami over Cal and UCLA. He was originally committed to USC but backed off that pledge in May. He took official visits to each of his three finalists over the summer after de-committing from the Trojans.
Woodard, listed at 6-0.5 and 190 pounds, caught 51 passes for 1,070 yards (21 yards per catch) and 17 touchdowns as a junior last year, while adding seven pass breakups and an interception on defense.
