Eye on the U: Hurricanes in semifinals. Can they beat Ole Miss for title game berth?

Two wins down. Two to go.

The No. 10 Miami Hurricanes find themselves in the College Football Playoff semifinals after a 24-14 upset win over the Ohio State Buckeyes in their quarterfinal game at the Cotton Bowl.

Next up: The No. 6 Ole Miss Rebels in the Fiesta Bowl on Thursday (7:30 p.m., ESPN) for a spot in the national championship game on Jan. 19 at Hard Rock Stadium — the Hurricanes’ home stadium.

On the latest episode of Eye on the U, Miami Herald Hurricanes beat writer Jordan McPherson and deputy sports editor Andre C. Fernandez take a look at what went right in Miami’s win over Ohio State at AT&T Stadium — and there was a lot that went right.

After that, they look ahead to the Ole Miss matchup and the areas where the Hurricanes will need to excel in order to win.

They wrap up with some quick basketball talk as the UM hoops teams are now in the thick of conference play.
