What availability report says about key Miami players’ status for Virginia Tech
The No. 13 Miami Hurricanes (8-2, 4-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) received a lot of good news on the injury front heading into their road game against the Virginia Tech Hokies (3-7, 2-4 ACC) on Saturday (noon, ESPN).
Two starters who have missed multiple games are on track to return as they have no injury designation on the ACC’s availability report released Thursday night. A third is listed as probable. A fourth is listed as questionable.
The full rundown:
- Running back Mark Fletcher Jr.: No injury designation
- Wide receiver CJ Daniels: No injury designation
- Linebacker Wesley Bissainthe: No injury designation
- Wide receiver Joshua Moore: No injury designation
- Nickel cornerback Keionte Scott: Out
- Cornerback OJ Frederique Jr.: Probable
- Defensive tackle David Blay Jr.: Questionable
Neither Daniels nor Frederique have played in the past three games, although Hurricanes coach Mario Cristobal said Monday that Daniels could have played last weekend against NC State. Fletcher has missed the past two weeks. Scott and Blay both missed the NC State game, with Scott likely out for the season. Bissainthe has been limited the past two weeks, while Moore was injured against the Wolfpack.
Breaking down the ACC’s availability reports

The report released on game day have three status designations for players: Available, game time decision and out and are defined as follows
Available: “Fully available to play in the game.”
Game Time Decision: “Final decision will be made closer to the game.”
