Game time, broadcast info announced for Miami Hurricanes home game vs. Stanford
The first-ever college football meeting between the Miami Hurricanes and Stanford Cardinal, just like nearly every other UM game so far this season, will be under the lights.
The game between the Hurricanes and Cardinal on Oct. 25 at Hard Rock Stadium will kick off at 7 p.m., the ACC announced Monday. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
This marks six of Miami’s first seven games being night games, with the only exception being their game against USF in Week 3.
Miami and Stanford have never met in college football but will now be semi-regular opponents after Stanford joined the Atlantic Coast Conference last season.
The teams are also on vastly different trajectories. The Hurricanes enter this week a perfect 5-0 and ranked No. 2 in the country in the latest AP top-25 poll. Stanford, meanwhile, is 2-4 on the season and 1-2 in league play. Miami hosts Louisville on Friday this week, while Stanford hosts Florida State.
The game between the Hurricanes and Cardinal next week will be the sixth of eight home games for UM. Miami will have two more home games in November: Nov. 8 against Syracuse and Nov. 15 against N.C. State. The Hurricanes only have four total road games this season. They won 28-22 at Florida State on Oct. 5 and will travel to play SMU on Nov. 1, Virginia Tech on Nov. 22 and Pittsburgh on Nov. 29.
