Where the Miami Hurricanes rank in the AP poll after their second bye week
The Miami Hurricanes entered their second and final bye week of the regular season as the second-ranked team in the country.
They held their spot after the week ended.
The Hurricanes checked in at No. 2 in the latest AP poll, released Sunday afternoon, as they get ready for a run of seven games in seven weeks to wrap up the regular season and attempt to make a push for both the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship Game and 12-team College Football Playoff. Miami still trails only the Ohio State Buckeyes, but did receive 13 of 66 first-place votes.
Miami (5-0, 1-0 ACC) is one of eight Power 4 conference teams still undefeated. The others are Ohio State and the Indiana Hoosiers in the Big Ten, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in the ACC, the BYU Cougars and Texas Tech Red Raiders in the Big 12, and the Ole Miss Rebels and Texas A&M Aggies in the SEC. The Memphis Tigers and Navy Midshipmen of the American Conference and UNLV of the Mountain West Conference are also undefeated.
There was once again movement near the top of the poll after two top-10 teams were upset on Saturday, with Indiana beating the then-No. 3 Oregon Ducks and the Texas Longhorns winning against the then-No. 6 Oklahoma Sooners.
Indiana jumped to No. 3 and Oregon fell to No. 8, while Texas rejoined the poll at No. 21 and Oklahoma fell to No. 14.

Miami returns to action on Friday against the Louisville Cardinals (4-1, 1-1 ACC), with kickoff from Hard Rock Stadium set for 7 p.m. and the game broadcast on ESPN.
