The No. 3 Miami Hurricanes kept their perfect season intact with a 28-22 win over the No. 18 Florida State Seminoles on Saturday at Doak Campbell Stadium in a game that wasn’t close for the first 50 minutes. FSU scored 19 unanswered points down the stretch to get to the final margin.

Here are 10 notable stats from the game.

2019: Saturday marked the Hurricanes’ first win over the Seminoles in Tallahassee since 2019, having lost the previous two meetings 27-20 in 2023 and 31-28 in 2021.

2009: The Hurricanes now have three ranked wins this season (at the time of the matchup), beating then-No. 6 Notre Dame on Aug. 31, then-No. 18 USF on Sept. 13 and FSU on Saturday. It’s the first time Miami has won three games against ranked opponents since the 2009 season when the Hurricanes had wins over then-No. 18 FSU, then-No. 14 Georgia Tech and then-No. 8 Oklahoma within their first four games of the season.

2004: Saturday was Miami’s first win over Florida State in a ranked matchup since 2004, when the then-No. 5 Hurricanes beat the then-No. 4 Seminoles 16-10. It’s the first time UM did it on the road since 2003.

He is just the fifth Hurricanes player since 1995 to have at least 100 receiving yards and multiple touchdown receptions against the Seminoles.
