The Miami Hurricanes are getting the College GameDay treatment next week.

The No. 5 Hurricanes, off to a 3-0 start with a pair of ranked wins over Notre Dame and USF, will host College GameDay when they face the Florida Gators on Sept. 20. The game will kick off at Hard Rock Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on ABC.

It’s the first time GameDay is heading to Miami since Sept. 26, 2020, when then-No. 12 Miami hosted Florida State. The Hurricanes won that game 52-10. That broadcast, however, took place from Hard Rock Stadium and not campus due to COVID-19 restrictions. The last GameDay that was actually on UM’s campus in Coral Gables was Nov. 11, 2017, when the Hurricanes defeated Notre Dame 41-8. Miami is 7-1 all-time in games when it hosts GameDay.

This will be the 26th time overall the Hurricanes have played a game that has been at the site of College GameDay, including the ninth time as the home team. The Hurricanes are 16-9 all-time when College GameDay is on site. It’s also the fourth time a Miami-Florida game has gotten GameDay, with the others being in 2019 (Orlando), 2008 (Gainesville) and 2002 (Gainesville).

It’s the second consecutive season UM has the GameDay treatment. ESPN’s traveling pregame show was in Berkeley, California, for Miami’s 39-38 come-from-behind win at Cal last October.
