Miami Hurricanes men’s basketball non-conference schedule is out. The details
The Jai Lucas era of Miami Hurricanes men’s basketball officially begins on Nov. 3.
That’s when the Hurricanes begin the 2025-26 season against Jacksonville at the Watsco Center.
The team announced its full non-conference slate on Wednesday, with nine of its 13 games before Atlantic Coast Conference play taking place on its home court.
After the game against Jacksonville, Miami will host Bethune-Cookman on Nov. 6 and Stetson on Nov. 10 before traveling to Jacksonville to face the defending national champion Florida Gators in the previously announced Jacksonville Hoops Showdown.
Two more home games follow that in matchups with Elon (Nov. 20) and Delaware State (Nov. 23) before the Hurricanes travel to Orlando to play in the Terry’s Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational on Nov. 27 and 28 and to Oxford, Mississippi, on Dec. 2 to play Ole Miss as part of the ACC/SEC challenge.
The non-conference slate wraps up with four more home games against Southern Miss (Dec. 6), Louisiana-Monroe (Dec. 13), FIU (Dec. 16) and North Florida (Dec. 21).
No game times or broadcast information was announced for any of the games. The team’s ACC schedule will be announced at a later date.
Miami, which went 7-24 overall and 3-17 in league play last season, brings in a whole new roster in Lucas’ first season made up of a top-20 recruiting class and transfers including Tre Donaldson (Michigan), Malik Reneau (Indiana), Ernest Udeh Jr. (TCU), Tru Washington (New Mexico), Jordyn Kee (Georgia) and Marcus Allen (Missouri).
The Hurricanes’ most recent addition came on July 15 when consensus four-star prospect Treyvon Maddon signed his national letter of intent. He joins fellow four-star recruits Shelton Henderson and Dante Allen along with three-star point guard John Laboy plus international prospects in Slovakian forward Timotej Malovec and Turkish center Salih Altuntas.
