The Miami Hurricanes continued to bolster the trenches on Tuesday, picking up nonbining commitments from Class of 2026 offensive lineman Canon Pickett and defensive tackle Tyson Bacon.

Pickett, who plays at Tampa Bay Tech, is a three-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite ranking and ranked as the No. 43 interior offensive lineman in the class.

“I’m home!!!!!!!” Pickett posted Tuesday on his personal X account announcing his decision.

Pickett, listed at 6-4 and 320 pounds, is the sixth offensive lineman commit in Miami’s Class of 2026.

He joins five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell, four-star offensive tackle Ben Congdon, three-star offensive tackle Joel Ervin, three-star interior offensive lineman Rhys Woodrow and three-star interior offensive lineman JJ Sparks.

He chose Miami over Florida and Clemson.

Bacon, meanwhile, is UM’s first defensive tackle commitment in the class. 247 Sports rated him a four-star prospect and the No. 38 defensive lineman in 2026 class, and On3.com has him as a three-star prospect and the No. 57 lineman.

But Bacon’s stock has risen as several top schools have pursued him in recent weeks. He had five tackles for loss and a sack last season.

The 6-4, 267-pound tackle from Hoover (Alabama) High visited Coral Gables last week and picked the Canes over Florida; Georgia, Ohio State and Alabama have also been in pursuit. Bacon committed to Tennessee last October but decommitted in April.

The Hurricanes now have 13 players in their Class of 2026, which is ranked eighth by both 247 Sports and On3.com.
