For the second time this week, the Miami Hurricanes have landed a commitment from a Class of 2026 in-state offensive lineman.

On Wednesday, it was Jacksonville Bolles School’s JJ Sparks who announced his pledge to Miami.

Sparks, a three-star recruit listed at 6-4 and 300 pounds, is the No. 71 ranked interior offensive lineman in the Class of 2026 and the No. 108 overall prospect in Florida for the class regardless of position according to the 247Sports composite ranking. He holds offers from more than two dozen schools.

“First and foremost I want to thank God for blessing me with this opportunity,” Sparks posted on his personal X account. “To my family for their love and support. To my coaches thank you for pushing me to be the best version of myself on and off the field. After much prayer and consideration I’m proud to announce my commitment to the University of Miami.”

The Hurricanes on Sunday received a verbal commitment from three-star Fort Myers offensive lineman Joel Ervin.

Miami now has eight players committed to its 2026 recruiting class.

The rest of the class as of Wednesday in addition to Sparks and Ervin: Carol City four-star linebacker Jordan Campbell, Charlotte Myers Park four-star cornerback Camdin Portis, Seffner Armwood four-star cornerback Jaelen Waters, West Boca Raton four-star running back Javian Mallory, Orlando Jones four-star quarterback Dereon Coleman and Mineral City (Ohio) Tuscarawas Valley four-star offensive lineman Ben Congdon.
