Miami Hurricanes to face in-state rival FSU Seminoles to open ACC play in 2025. Date, details
The Miami Hurricanes will begin their Atlantic Coast Conference schedule next season against an in-state rival.
The Hurricanes, coming off a 10-3 season in 2024, will play the Florida State Seminoles on Oct. 4 in Tallahassee to begin their eight-game ACC slate, the league announced Friday.
The ACC opener comes after a four-game nonconference schedule that includes home games against Notre Dame (Aug. 31), Bethune-Cookman (Sept. 6), University of South Florida (Sept. 13) and Florida (Sept. 20). Miami will have a bye week between its games against UF and FSU.
Miami beat FSU 36-14 last season for the Hurricanes’ first win over the Seminoles since 2020.
The ACC will announce the rest of Miami’s — and the conference’s — schedule on Monday from 9 p.m. - 11 p.m. Miami’s conference slate will feature home games against Louisville, N.C. State, Stanford and Syracuse plus road games against Florida State, Pittsburgh, SMU and Virginia Tech.
The Hurricanes went 6-2 in league play last season, losing on the road to Georgia Tech and Syracuse, to miss out on a chance to play in the ACC Championship Game.
