The Miami Hurricanes on Saturday announced their annual CanesFest at Hard Rock Stadium, scheduled for 2 p.m.-7 p.m. Sunday, has been canceled because inclement weather is anticipated this weekend.

The free event was slated to include fans being able to watch a full practice and an autograph session to follow the practice. Last year, the practice open for viewing at CanesFest was a full scrimmage.

The Miami Dolphins canceled their open practice at the stadium on Saturday for similar reasons and instead held a closed practice at the Baptist Health Training Complex.

The expected weather is stemming from Tropical Depression 4, which could strengthen into Tropical Storm Debby by Sunday night. The storm’s track has shifted west as it crosses over Cuba and into the Gulf of Mexico, sparing South Florida of a direct hit, but Miami-Dade and Broward counties remain under a flood watch.
