Election Recommendations

Here are the Miami Herald Editorial Board’s recommendations for Nov. 3 general election

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, but Florida voters are already casting ballots by mail, and early voting for the general election runs through Nov. 1.

There’s a lot at stake — both locally and nationally — and the Miami Herald is committed to helping you make sense of it all.

In September, the Miami Herald launched a comprehensive Voter Guide that gives users a customized ballot based on their address. This resource includes candidate profiles and essential voting information. Subscribers can also read what candidates said about their backgrounds and important issues to voters.

And as we do every election cycle, Editorial Board members interviewed the majority of candidates that Miami-Dade voters will see on the ballot. This year, the Editorial Board’s newly created Community Advisory Board took part in some of the interviews. The Advisory Board is made up of three community-engaged members who will add their unique perspectives to the Editorial Board’s deliberations until the end of the year.

Here are our recommendations as a simple list so voters have something to take with them to the polls.

This list will be updated often, so check back for more races.
