Forecasts calling for an inch or more of rain for South Florida on Monday that yielded flood watches more or less followed expectations. Just over an inch fell according to rainfall maps from the South Florida Water Management District, as well as Weather Underground and CBS 4 meteorologists.

The wetness is tied to a tropical system slogging along the state.
