One man dead after rollover crash that shut down a causeway to Miami Beach at rush hour
TUESDAY AFTERNOON UPDATE: The lanes reopened at 11:35 a.m.
The eastbound lanes of the 79th Street Causeway were closed for about three hours Tuesday morning after a man died in a pickup truck crash, Miami police said.
Police don’t exactly know why the driver lost control on the causeway connecting Miami to Miami Beach through North Bay Village. But the truck flipped off the right shoulder and went into the water.
