A quirky puppy is bursting with energy — and she needs a new home.

“Olive is the life of the puppy party,” a Florida animal rescue wrote in a Facebook post. “She loves playing with her brother, zooming around the yard, and tossing her stuffies in the air. Her kangaroo-like hops when she’s excited and her hummingbird energy flitting around the house will keep you laughing. After burning off her puppy energy, she transforms into a total snugglebug.”

Northwest Florida Great Dane Rescue said Olive is living with other dogs at a foster home in Pensacola as she waits for a new owner. She and her canine sister landed at the rescue over the summer after their mom had an accidental litter.

The pet owner “couldn’t sell them or take care of them properly, so we got her remaining two female puppies and spayed her momma dog for her,” Katie King, vice president of the rescue, told McClatchy News in a Jan. 9 email.

Olive is described as a 7-month-old pup who’s smart and loves to watch TV. She’s also a fan of treats but needs to eat special foods for her sensitive stomach.

“Olive is a total Velcro Dane and loves to follow her people around the house, plopping herself down wherever you are,” rescuers wrote.

While the 65-pound puppy enjoys pleasing people, she also would thrive with a playful dog in her next home. A video shared in Olive’s online adoption profile shows her frolicking with furry friends.

As of Jan. 9, Olive’s sister, Evie, was scheduled to start a trial period at a home. Meanwhile, the rescue said Olive was available for adoption. Details about the animal organization’s adoption process can be found at nwflgdr.com.

“If you’re looking for a playful, cuddly, and slightly goofy pup to brighten your days, Olive is your girl,” rescuers wrote. “She’s ready to hop, zoom, and snuggle her way into her forever home!”
