A Florida lottery player tried his luck on a scratch-off game and walked away with a life-changing win.

Ryan Swan, 41, won a $1 million windfall on a 500X the Cash Scratch-Off game he purchased at a Tampa-area convenience store, according to the Florida Lottery.

The lucky ticket was sold at a Rally Main Street in Dunedin, officials said.

Swan beat odds of 1 in 274,004 to win the $1 million prize.

The Pinellas County man claimed his winnings at lottery headquarters, choosing a lump sum payment of $640,000 after taxes, the Lottery said in a Nov. 26 news release.

Swan didn’t say how he plans to spend his winnings.

Two $25 million top prizes remained in the 500X the Cash Scratch-Off game as of Nov. 26, according to the lottery’s website.

Dunedin is about a 20-mile drive west from downtown Tampa.
