Lottery ticket worth nearly $130,000 sold at Florida Publix. Here’s where

A lottery player is holding a ticket worth nearly $130,000 that was sold at a Publix in Florida, officials said.

The Fantasy 5 ticket was a winner in the July 13 evening drawing, landing the top prize of $128,706, according to the Florida Lottery.

Someone bought the ticket at a Publix in Port St Lucie inside the Shoppes of St. Lucie West, lottery officials said.

The winning numbers in the drawing were 8-15-22-28-35. Players select five numbers out of 36, or they can have a computer randomly generate their numbers. The recent winner opted to choose their own numbers, beating the 1-in-376,992 odds of matching all five numbers to win the top prize.

The prize marks the highest Fantasy 5 amount in Florida since a player won over $131,000 in a June 8 drawing on a ticket sold at a Publix in Orlando, McClatchy News reported.

Winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prize and should sign the backs of their tickets right away, lottery officials advise.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
