A driver ended up in the hospital after smashing through a Florida residence and ending up in the pool Saturday morning.

A Facebook post from Hernando County Fire Rescue shows pictures of the aftermath at the home in Spring Hill, about an hour north of Tampa.

In one photo, a portion of the exterior is ripped away. A felled tree lies on the ground amid a twisted patio chair, cement blocks and other debris. Another shot shows the crumpled car, a white SUV, in the pool near a beach ball and a floatie shaped like a fish.

The fire department post says the person in the SUV was removed from the water and taken to the hospital for evaluation. The cause of the crash is unclear.

The Hernando County Building Department is evaluating the structure.
