“Saturday morning feels,” indeed.

Deputies from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a scene that had nothing to do with a crime over the weekend.

According to a Facebook post from the LCSO that began with the “feels” tag, a bunch of ducklings were trapped in a storm drain in a residential community in Lehigh Acres.

A spokeswoman for the agency told the Miami Herald on Monday that a concerned bystander noticed something was “amiss” and called law enforcement to help. Responding Deputy Kailah Vargo teamed up with the fire department and they all went to work.

After a drain lid was removed, Vargo reached down into the space below with a pail and scooped up the little birds, as you can see in the Facebook post of the incident.

Eleven siblings were rescued, the the sheriff’s spokeswoman confirmed.

This story has an even happier ending: The ducklings were reunited with Mom a short time later.
