A dog got stuck in the drain during bath time. Watch what 2 Florida plumbers had to do
A mini poodle’s bath time took a not so bubbly turn this week when his paw got caught in a drain at his Fort Lauderdale home.
The 5-year-old pup’s owner, Margo Blake, told WSVN-Channel 7 News that she had just washed Rocco when she realized that he wasn’t coming out of the tub.
Then Blake saw the little guy’s foot was wedged inside the stopper.
Dog mom called a few vets and finally a crew from Victoria Park Animal Hospital came out to her house with two emergency plumbers from Rangers Maintenance of Plantation on night duty.
Cellphone video from the tub shows the delicate process of extracting the animal. The plumbers are able to disassemble the entire tub and remove the dog with the drain still attached to him.

Rocco is then laid down on a comforter on the floor and sedated with a beeping blood pressure monitor attached to check his vitals.
The plumbers begin to diligently work away with a bolt cutter tool to snip the drain off without hurting the dog. After about five minutes, Rocco, still snoozing, is free.
Rocco is A-OK but may avoid bath time from now on.
As for Blake, while she is ecstatic her fur baby is fine, the life coach is also facing hefty bills as the tub needs to be replaced and her dog needs follow-up medical care. Her pal organized a GoFundMe called “Rescue Rocco.”
As of Friday, $300 of the $12,000 goal was reached.
