Shaq finally sells his Orlando-area mega mansion — for a lot less than he wanted for it
Sold!
After roughly three years on the market and major renovations, Shaquille O’Neal’s Orlando-area mansion has been finally snapped up, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
The 12-bedroom, 15-bath estate on the Isleworth Golf & Country Club in Windermere went for $11 million, according to Benjamin Hillman of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty.
“Over the past few years, four other agents tried and failed to sell this extraordinary estate. I was lucky No. 5,” Hillman said in a statement. “Shaq trusted me to find him a buyer, and I assured him I was the agent to do it. I seek out complicated deals and work to make them happen.”
Last February, the basketball legend, 49, reportedly sold his sprawling, 31,000 square footer for $16.5 million, but the deal fell through as the house apparently suffered from “multiple issues.”
The home was listed and re-listed five times with four different agents since 2018. Real estate pros had said the manse was too personalized, with homages to Shaq as well as logos of Superman (the former Miami Heat star’s nickname) everywhere.
O’Neal paid $3.95 million for the waterfront spread in 1993. It includes a 17-car garage, pool with waterfall, home theater, private dock, safe room and yes, a basketball court.
