Cable fragments found in Kroger pancake mix get it recalled in Florida, 16 other states
Finding “fragments from a cable used to clear the processing line” in some boxes of Kroger Buttermilk Waffle & Pancake Mix caused a not-food-in-your-food recall of two lots in Florida, Texas and 15 other states.
The mix was made for Kroger, the nation’s second-largest grocery seller, by Continental Mills, a Tukwila, Washington company. The Continental Mills-written, FDA-posted recall notice says the cable fragments were found “in a limited amount of product.”
