What’s wrong with a Trader Joe’s slaw and why there’s a public health alert about it
The latest not-food-in-your-food issue comes from Trader Joe’s where its Crunchy Slaw with Chicken, Crispy Noodles & Peanut Dressing might be extra crunchy because it could have hard plastic.
That’s according to the USDA Food Safety Inspection Service’s Public Health Alert that’s dated Thursday.
Trader Joe’s says the chicken salad product has an SKU No. 94988 and use by dates of 03/09/22, 03/10/22, 03/11/22, or 03/12/22. It went to stores in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada and Utah.
