A nationwide recall of Bantam Bagels Classic frozen mini-stuffed bagels with cream cheese posted to the FDA and Publix sites late Wednesday.

This food allergy recall covers lot No. 12031 with a best by date of May 27, 2023, information found on both the outer carton and the inner bag.

According to the recall notice written by manufacturer Damascus Bakery OPCO, an incorrect item was put in a carton and the item had egg. As the normal product doesn’t have egg, if this mistake was repeated anywhere else in the lot, it creates a danger for those with an egg allergy.

The recall notice included the warning: “People who have an egg allergy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the items in this product lot.”

Winn-Dixie posted the recall last week as affecting select stores.

Customers are asked to toss any boxes they have and contact Bantam Bagels at 866-451-6744 for a replacement coupon.
