High school seniors should be experiencing key moments — proms, graduations, final band, choir or dance performances, playoff games and more.

But they were deprived of these rites of passage due to the coronavirus pandemic. So the Miami Herald and el Nuevo Herald joined forces with Miami-Dade County Public Schools to give them the tribute they deserve.

Join us in a community celebration that will showcase the diverse talents of the Class of 2020 and feature some special guest appearances as our high school seniors set off on the next chapter of their lives.

The tribute will stream live at 2020 (8:20 p.m.) on this page and on the Miami Herald’s Facebook and YouTube sites.

Let’s take a break from this difficult time to give this next generation of leaders a proper sendoff.

And on June 14, be sure to pick up an extra copy of the Miami Herald, which will feature a special keepsake section that honors all of the graduates.
