Another heartbreaking bridal video emerges from Beirut explosion, groom included
A second bride had her wedding photo shoot interrupted by Tuesday’s horrific explosion in Beirut, video shows.
The bride in her wedding dress and groom in his tuxedo posed for photos less than a mile away from where the explosion occurred, according to Storyful.
They appear peaceful, but the bride suddenly looks concerned when she hears the sound of the blast, shown in the video captured by Ibrahim Kitmitto of Bob Photography and obtained by Storyful. Two seconds later, windows shattered in the building they were standing in front of and the bride’s dress blew up in the air.
The photographer continues to capture footage as the couple flee, video shows. Buildings appear severely damaged and glass from windows covered the street.
It’s the second bridal video to come out of the explosion in Lebanon’s capital city. In the other video, captured by Mahmoud Nakib and obtained by Storyful, a bride calmly posed for photos right before her dress and bouquet went flying in the blast.
Tuesday’s blast has killed nearly 150 people, Lebanese President Michel Aoun said, according to USA Today. It’s believed to have occurred when 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate ignited in a fire, which was caused by either negligence or”external intervention” by a missile or bomb, USA Today reported.
