Beirut explosion knocks over bride as she poses for wedding photo shoot, video shows

A bride calmly posed and smiled during a photo shoot just before the massive explosion in Beirut knocked her over, video shows.

The scene was quiet and peaceful in Lebanon’s capital city as the woman posed in her flowing wedding dress. Then the blast shakes the city square just as the video pans by the bride, sending her dress and the bouquet flying, video captured by Mahmoud Nakib and obtained by Storyful shows.

The bride and groom walked away from the explosion unharmed and took shelter at a home before eating dinner at a restaurant later that night, according to Storyful.

The explosion had killed at least 100 people, injured thousands and displaced more than 300,000 residents as of Wednesday afternoon, CNN reported. Lebanese President Michel Aoun says the blast was caused by ammonium nitrate, an explosive agriculture fertilizer, improperly stored in a warehouse at the city’s port, CBS reported.
