A man is accused of assaulting and trying to kidnap his former boyfriend, Pennsylvania police said.

Scottdale police were called to a home early on Sept. 30 after a witness reported that two men were fighting on a porch and one was armed with a Taser, authorities said.

When authorities arrived, both men had left, police said.

Minutes later, police received another call from a neighbor on the same street who said that “someone broke into his neighbor’s house,” the statement said.

Police found the victim along with a cellphone and keys in the yard, WTAE reported.

The suspect, Jeffrey Lowe, 28, had broken into his ex-boyfriend’s residence and was attempting to put a zip tie on him when the man woke up, police said.

“I woke up to someone tugging on my arm,” the man told WTAE. “(Lowe) had both of my hands. He tried to zip tie both of my hands together.”

He also said that Lowe was armed with a Taser, police said.

“That’s when I attacked him,” the victim told WTAE. “When we got to the side of the house, I started running away. I eventually got fatigued, and I didn’t know what to do. I was just doing anything to get out of this.”

The man suffered a broken foot and scrapes on his arms and legs, the statement said.

Lowe was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, criminal trespassing, burglary, attempted kidnapping and possession of an instrument of crime, police said.

Scottdale is about a 45-mile drive south from Pittsburgh.
