A man was arrested after deputies found a dead body on his front porch, Arkansas authorities said.

Deputies from the Saline County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home after receiving reports of a naked man discharging a gun, authorities said in an Oct. 1 statement.

Authorities confronted the man, identified by county officials as Floyd Smith, after safely disarming him and securing the residence, officials said. While searching the home, deputies discovered a dead man on the front porch, the Facebook post said..

The victim was the suspect’s roommate, and “this was not a random act of violence,” deputies said.

David Turbyfill, a neighbor, told KARK that he heard about a dozen gunshots before walking out of his home down the street.

“When I walked out to see what was happening, I saw the gentleman with nothing but shorts on walking around with the gun,” Turbyfill told KARK. “By the time he got to the road, he had taken them off. He was completely nude when deputies took him down.”

The man Smith is facing charges of capital murder and aggravated assault, sheriff’s records show.
