The body of a 23-year-old woman reported missing by her boyfriend, whom she shared two children with, was found buried in the woods of a Maryland state forest, according to authorities.

More than two weeks after Lesbia Mileth Ramirez Guerra disappeared from her home in Waldorf, Maryland, detectives discovered her remains in a “heavily wooded area” of Cedarville State Forest on April 17, the Charles County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release the evening of April 18.

In an update on April 19, the sheriff’s office confirmed a medical examiner identified the body as Guerra.

Now, her boyfriend, Keycy Robinson Alexi Barrera Rosa, 24, who lived with Guerra, has been charged with murder, according to authorities.

Guerra’s uncle, Rolvin Eduardo Bererra Bererra, 37, of Waldorf, is also charged in her death in connection with “actions he took in Prince George’s County following her murder,” the sheriff’s office said.

Attorney information for Barrera Rosa and Bererra wasn’t immediately available.

Reported as missing

Barrera Rosa reported Guerra as missing on April 2, two days after she was last seen at their home, the sheriff’s office said in an April 7 news release. Authorities said several people lived at the residence with them.

At their house, detectives found “unusual and suspicious activity,” leading them to suspect foul play was involved in Guerra’s disappearance, according to the sheriff’s office.

Cedarville State Forest is about a 5-mile drive northeast from Waldorf.

Detained by ICE

While detectives searched Guerra and Barrera Rosa’s home, detectives also located what they believed were fake documents for Barrera Rosa, then contacted U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to confirm his identity, authorities said.

“It was learned the documents were fraudulent and he was not in the country legally,” the sheriff’s office said of Barrera Rosa.

ICE detained Barrera Rosa as a result, authorities said.

As of April 18, Barrera Rosa was in custody in a different state, according to authorities, who said he was awaiting “his return to Charles County,” where Waldorf is located.

Guerra’s uncle, Bererra, is detained without bond at the Charles County Detention Center, the sheriff’s office said.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore will perform an autopsy to determine how Guerra died, according to the sheriff’s office.

“While this was not the ending that we all hoped for, I am grateful to all those who worked so hard to find Ms. Guerra,” Charles County Sheriff Troy D. Berry said in a statement.
