Missing 18-year-old found dead at her ex-boyfriend’s house, Alabama cops say
A missing 18-year-old was found dead at her ex-boyfriend’s house after her family members reported not seeing or hearing from her, Alabama deputies said.
An urgent search for the woman, whom deputies did not identify, was launched April 17, the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Deputies said they went to places the woman was known to visit, including the house of her ex-boyfriend, 20-year-old Johnathan Etter, in Elkmont, about a 90-mile drive south from Nashville, Tennessee.
The woman’s body was found at the residence, and Etter was arrested and taken to the Limestone County Jail, deputies said. A bond was not yet set.
He is charged with abuse of a corpse, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to deputies.
The investigation is ongoing and more charges could follow, deputies said.
“The entire Limestone County Sheriff’s Office extend our deepest condolences to the family during this difficult time,” deputies said in the release.
