A Georgia lottery player tried their luck — and won a life-changing prize.

The lucky winner hit the Fantasy 5 jackpot, scoring $857,788 in the drawing Thursday, March 27, the Georgia Lottery said. The ticket, sold at a QuikTrip in Cartersville, matched all five numbers.

The winning numbers were 01-15-28-32-33, results show. The lucky player beat odds of 1-in-850,668, claiming the top prize March 28, a lottery official told McClatchy News.

Additional information wasn’t immediately available.

It’s one of multiple big lottery wins for the Peach State in recent days.

Two people won $1 million each in the Powerball drawing March 29. One of the winning tickets was sold in Jonesboro and the other was bought by a Decatur resident online, lottery officials said.

Other players won $150,000 and $50,000 in the same drawing, results show.

Winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes and are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket, the Georgia Lottery’s website says.

Cartersville is about a 40-mile drive northwest from downtown Atlanta.
