Fan-favorite Dunkin’ doughnut returns for first time in 3 years. When can you get it?
Dunkin’ is bringing back a “New England classic,” but it won’t stick around.
Fans can get their first bite of the apple cider doughnut for a limited time, three years after it last appeared on menus, according to the coffee and doughnut chain.
The “much-requested” treat is part of Dunkin’s fall lineup, available as of Aug. 28 at participating locations nationwide, Dunkin’ said in a news release. It was last offered in 2021.
Pricing information wasn’t immediately available.
The apple cider doughnut joins multiple other returning fall favorites, including the pumpkin spice signature latte, pumpkin cake donut and MUNCHKINS donut holes, according to the release.
Coffee lovers can also sip on two new brews: an almond spice coffee and “Dunkalatte” made with coffee milk.
“The result? An ultra-smooth drink that sips like a latte and tastes like a melty milkshake,” a product description reads.
Like its competitors, Dunkin is also jumping on the meal deal train in hopes of wooing penny-pinching customers amid the rising costs of eating out. Its new $6 Meal Deal comes with a medium hot or iced coffee, a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich, and a side of hash browns.
Other seasonal favorites that are back on the menu include:
- Pumpkin muffin
- Maple sugar bacon breakfast sandwich
- Loaded hash browns
- Banana chocolate chip loaf
