Hey, donut lovers! Krispy Kreme will deliver donuts straight to your door — here’s how
What happens when you’re already bundled up on the couch and a doughnut craving strikes?
You stay put.
Starting at the end of February, when you’re hankering for some glazed goodness, you may not even have to leave your house.
Krispy Kreme announced Monday that it’s rolling out doughnut delivery nationwide starting Feb. 29, Delish reported. Orders can be placed on Krispy Kreme’s app or through its website.
To be eligible for delivery, you’ll have to be relatively close to one of Krispy Kreme’s 350 locations — within 10 miles — and pony up the $4.99 delivery fee, USA Today reported. The doughnuts will be delivered by Doordash.
Krispy Kreme is also sweetening the deal for maternity ward patients and staff.
To celebrate the Leap Day launch, Krispy Kreme is giving away free doughnuts for maternity ward staff and parents of Leap Day babies at hospitals within 10 miles of a Krispy Kreme location, the company said on its website.
On Feb. 29, health professionals can post on social media after a baby is born, tag @KrispyKreme and use #KrispyKremeSpecialDelivery to receive five dozen glazed doughnuts for free, according to the company.
The North Carolina-based company has been testing the delivery option since 2018, USA Today reported.
