$50 turned into $25 million for a lucky Miami-Dade Walmart shopper

No matter how much he spent on groceries, the $50 a Miami-Dade man dropped on a Florida Lottery scratch-off turned out to be the best money spent at a West Miami-Dade Walmart Neighborhood Market.

That $50 bought Lincoln Diaz a Gold Rush Multiplier game ticket, and that ticket won Diaz one of the two $25 million prizes.

The Florida Lottery announced Wednesday that Diaz took the option of a lump-sum payment, giving him $15,960,000.
