A Miami-Dade grocery and a Publix sold Wednesday’s lottery draw big winners

Wednesday’s Florida Lottery big money draw games — Florida Lotto, Powerball, Cash4Life, Fantasy 5 — brought Thanksgiving Eve joy to players in North Miami-Dade and a Publix close to the chain’s home.

Neither of those winners got the Powerball jackpot, which will be up to $719 million for Saturday’s drawing.

The Fantasy 5 midday drawing numbers of 4, 7, 14, 23 and 29 matched a ticket bought at Sajoma Market aka Elguajiro Supermarket, 3101 NW 95th St. That’s a $58,832 hit.

A Quick Pick ticket sold at a Lakeland Publix, 4730 S. Florida Ave., about 7 miles from Publix headquarters, had the Fantasy 5 evening drawing numbers: 11, 14, 28, 32 and 33. That ticket is worth $120,825.

These tickets need to be cashed at a Florida Lottery office, such as the ones in Miami or Tampa, which are open 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Appointments can be made, but aren’t required.

The Miami district office is in Miami Lakes, 14621 Oak Ln., and can be reached at MIARC@flalottery.com or 305-364-3080. The Tampa district office, the closest to Lakeland, is at Centerpoint Business Park, 1911 U.S. 301 North, Suite 170, and can be reached at 813-744-6134 or TAMRC@flalottery.com.
