A stop at a Fort Lauderdale gas station turned into a $1 million lottery win

The return on investment for a Cooper City man playing a $50 Florida Lottery scratch-off game turned out to be one of the $1 million second prizes.

Frantz Colin bought his $1,000,000 A Year For Life Spectacular ticket at the Marathon Stop N Go at 1177 W. Commercial Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale. After winning one of the 234 second prizes, he took the one-time, lump-sum payment option of $640,000.

This is the second South Florida winner of that scratch-off game announced this month. Earlier, a South Miami-Dade man won the same prize from a ticket bought at a RaceTrac in Homestead.
