A New Year’s Day Florida Lottery jackpot winning ticket was bought in Hialeah

Wednesday’s Powerball, Cash4Life, Fantasy 5 and Florida Lotto games brought one jackpot win split between two tickets, one of which was bought in Hialeah.

Those who jumped on the Florida Lotto game during its long run without a winner can keep riding into Saturday, when the jackpot increases to $39.5 million. Bolts of luck hit the Fantasy 5 evening draw, however.

A Quick Pick ticket bought at Ciclon Market, a Hialeah convenience store at 4461 Palm Ave., and a free Quick Pick ticket from a Marathon station on U.S. 27 in Sebring each had 14, 15, 18, 31 and 33. As such, each is now worth $53,586.
